A belated Happy Earth Day

“Be the weed growing through the cracks in the cement, beautiful – because it doesn’t know it’s not supposed to grow there.”

~Shane Koyczan, Instructions for a Bad Day

Our family cottage sits on ancient Precambrian rock. It is not hospitable to plants, and yet they grow: taking root in cracks on the rocky shoreline and hanging for dear life from the side of a cliff. They give me strength these little survivors.

Happy Earth Day to our beautiful planet, and everything that lives on it.
